Spot Scout

Describe the kind of place you’re looking for, and Spot Scout will find it on the map. A tool that automates the spot-finding methodology I’ve developed over years of travel.

How it works

Just describe the geography you want — “a secluded lake surrounded by mountains” or “a cliff overlooking the sea with no tourists” — and Spot Scout analyzes terrain data, elevation maps, and geographical features to surface the best candidates.

It’s the algorithmic version of what I do manually when planning trips: studying satellite imagery, reading terrain contours, and identifying places most people would never think to look for.

The methodology

I wrote about the manual process in I know a spot — using directions, high-level maps, and terrain analysis to find rewarding paths. Spot Scout takes those intuitions and scales them with AI and geographic data.
